Corozalito Beach

Corozalito Beach is a 800 meter long sandy beach protected by rocky outcroppings at each end. It is located in the Pacific of Costa Rica, Nicoya Peninsula south.

The small town of Corozalito is located 2.5 km from the beach and has a school, a supermarket, two restaurants, a church and a soccer field.

Five kilometers north from Corozalito is the Islita town, famous for its luxury hotel "Punta Islita" and beach.

Turtle Nesting

Pacific green turtles (Chelonia mydas), leatherback turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) and hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata) have nested on this beach.

In addition, several times a year at Corozalito Beach there is a massive nesting event that lasts for a couple of nights.
